On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Balkan Society of Radiology, I would like to inform you that difficult, but necessary, decision has been made – to postpone Balkan Congress of Radiology, October 15-18, Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Serious sequence of events due to pandemic of COVID 19 is dictating steps to be taken to stop spreading of the disease and, at the same time, is enabling radiologist to be available at their home institutions.
While this measure is disappointing, Balkan Society of Radiology wants to emphasise the role of radiologists as pivotal team players in the early detection and diagnosis of the diseases. In the meantime, we can move forward by working hard and being at the disposal to our patients, learning new procedures, getting experience and also, getting new knowledge and education in different areas, which is already widely accessible online.
We are going to monitor the situation with COVID 19 closely, and will inform you about new dates, timely. We wish you to stay happy and healthy, and look forward to seeing you at the next meeting!
With best wishes,
Prof. Ružica Maksimović
